The North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce serves as a proactive leader for the Uptown District, thoughtfully analyzing and advocating for good public policy while educating our membership and community on issues that impact the future of our area. The Chamber does this at the local, regional and state level. The Chamber through its broad experience also provides assistance to members on day to day concerns, working to cut red tape and find new solutions to benefit the Uptown District.

Developing close working relationships with government and elected officials so our business and community concerns are heard is an ongoing effort and priority to the Chamber. As an organization and through our active membership we are politically visible and work diligently to be at the table when decisions are made that effects our area and our collective interests.

Participate and make a difference through membership on committees and participation in the Chamber's Board of Directors meetings that form the Chamber's policy positions. Let the Board know about issues that are important to you.

Meet elected officials and ask about issues important to you at our special events, mixers and monthly luncheon programs. Our programs bring these important decision-makers to Uptown and give our members and guests the opportunity to be heard, educated and entertained.

Support a favorable business climate. The Chamber has successfully taken positions on issues from Light Rail Station Development to Redevelopment Priorities, and Workforce Housing to Regulatory and Fee relief. Your participation gives weight to these positions and helps to ensure that Uptown is not overlooked.

Advocate development of adequate infrastructure -- utilities, schools and roads-to meet the needs of our rapidly growing population and help our community compete successfully with other communities is critical to our continued success.
