The Anti-Graffiti Program is designed to assist citizens in the removal of graffiti from private and public property. We will assist residents in three ways:
- by providing recycled paint for residents for graffiti abatement
- providing color matched paint on a one time basis, leaving citizens with matching paint
- providing information or referrals on anti-graffiti information
We will abate graffiti on private residences whose owners refuse to cooperate with the City's current anti-graffiti ordinance. These property owners are subject to an enforcement fee.

Neighborhood Code Enforcement is charged with helping to control community and neighborhood nuisances such as illegal dumping, abandoned or inoperable vehicles, and zoning violations.
The Code Enforement Team works to improve the quality of life in Sacramento's neighborhoods through awareness, education and enforcement. Code Enforcement Officers are responsible for abating zoning violations including unlawful use of land, illegal street vendors, continuous yard sales (only one per residence per year is allowed), large-scale recycling in residential areas, illegal fences and illegal camping in vehicles.
Removal of illegally dumped debris, or accumulated trash and junk from public and private property is also a primary function. Officers also abate abandoned or inoperable vehicles on city streets and private property. The new Environmental Health Program strives to identify and eliminate vermin and other pest infestations from residential units.
To report illegal dumped debris, accumulated trash and junk, abandoned or inoperable vehicles on city streets and private property, zoning violations and residential vermin and other pest infestations, use the Code Enforcement Complaint Form at: http://www.sacto.org/codeform.htm
Dangerous Buildings. City Codes require owners to maintain their property. If a structure is to remain vacant for more than three months, the owner is required to pay a monitoring fee to the City. In addition, fines may be levied if the property is not clean and secure.
